Ploughshare manages the technology transfer of Intellectual Property (IP) developed by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).
Dstl maximises the impact of science and technology for UK defence and security - giving the right science and technology advice at the right time. It provides the government with a wide programme of research and scientific and technical support, delivered from internal and external resources.
Ploughshare coordinates between the scientific and support staff at Dstl and industry in order to find new market opportunities for IP orginally developed for the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
Ploughshare was established in 2005 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

This multi faceted Marketing role would suit an individual who loves autonomy and responsibility within a diverse high tech environment. Ploughshare Innovations Ltd is the technology transfer arm of Dstl, the MOD research lab, and its role is to commercialise the technical innovations emanating from Dstl, one of the world’s leading research laboratories. Being the sole Marketing specialist for this organisation is not a typical role. It involves supporting a team of highly qualified and experienced Commercialisation Managers who are developing both spin out ventures and ‘licensing’ deals with global organisations.

They will have a highly developed interest in technology and science and to be able to operate in a small team, flexible and creative in their approach with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Candidates should be UK nationals who will need to undertake security clearance as part of their employment. Reporting to the CEO they will have the opportunity to develop their career in this exciting high technology organisation.
